Race Day Information
Check out your digital race day guide HERE, packed with important information ahead of Sunday 1 September.
Location: Civic Centre, Cardiff.
Date & Time: Sunday 1 September 2024. The 10K begins at 10:00am.
Race Pack and Number: Your race number and a race day guide will be posted to you within a week of the race. Your pack will include a running bib, with a unique race number. It’s vital that you keep this safe as a timing chip (which enables us to give you your finishing time) is embedded into all 10K race numbers – which cannot be reissued.
Please pin the number to the front of your t-shirt on race day, and remember to complete the medical information on the back of your race number. This is VERY important.
Elite Entry: Click here for more information on Elite Place qualifying times.
Team Challenge: Click here to find out more about our Team Challenge Packages.
Disability Entry and Accessibility: We welcome athletes with health issues, disabilities or accessibility needs. Click here for more information.
Wheelchairs & Buggies: Entry is open to wheelchairs in both the 10k and Junior Races. Buggies are permitted in the Fun Run only.
What’s Included: 10K race entry includes a finishers medal, technical race t-shirt and live tracking through the Run 4 Wales app. Junior Race (Fun Run and Future Challengers) entry includes a commemorative medal. Medals (both races) and t-shirts (10K only) will be distributed at the finish line of your race.
Travel & Parking: Cardiff is easily accessible by foot, bike, car, bus and train. To embrace a sustainable event, we encourage active travel such as walking or cycling (the city has many accessible cycle routes).
For those arriving by bike, there will be a free bike park available in the Event Village.
For more info and advice please click here.
Baggage: Bag storage is situated in the Event Village and will be open from 08:30am. Tear off the baggage label strip on the bottom of your 10K race number and attach it to your bag before you arrive.
10K Race Start: The 10km race starts on King Edward VII Avenue. The solid colour (either white, green, red, blue or yellow) behind the number on your running bib will dictate which starting pen you must assemble in before the race.
To avoid confusion on the day it is vital that you look at the Venue Map in your Race Day Guide (posted to your prior to the event) for details on how to access your starting pen. Pens will open at 09:45am.

Health and Safety: Our 10K route takes place on fully closed roads, but competitors should be aware of their surroundings and listen out for marshal’s instructions for their own health and safety. Trip hazards, such as speed bumps will be clearly signposted but please keep an eye out!
Download the Run 4 Wales App: Available on iOS and Android, the Run 4 Wales App lets you track participants on race day, view live results and more.
Volunteers: A big team of #ExtraMilers will be giving up their own time on race day to ensure you have an unforgettable day. Click here to learn more about volunteering, or to sign up.
Pacers: Looking for a new personal best? Our pacers will be running at 45, 60 and 75 minutes to help you keep track of your time. Look out for them in your start wave.
