The CDF 10K 2024 medal is here!

Runners taking part in this year’s Brecon Carreg CDF 10K can now get a first glimpse of the medal they’ll earn after they cross the finish line.

Forming part of the Run 4 Wales 10K series collection, this year’s medal is the final interlocking piece, fitting in with those earned at the ABP Newport 10K, Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K and Ogi Porthcawl 10K.

Drawing on the colours from the logo, it features the historic Cardiff Castle which runners pass during the race.

The event’s lead charity partner, Kidney Wales, helped to reveal the new design outside the castle keep.

Husband and wife, Shanna and Elliot Fenwick, alongside Kidney Wales trustee, Mike Weir, came to help and will also be taking part in this year’s race to raise money for the charity.

Shanna will be running after her husband Elliott received a kidney transplant from his brother Rhys in December last year.

The cause is also really close to Mike’s heart as he was a kidney donor to his son Harry.

This year’s Brecon Carreg CDF 10K will take place on Sunday 1 September.

The sold-out event will see 7,000 runners take to the streets of the Welsh capital on a tour of the city as well as it’s beautiful leafy suburbs.
